Custom Strings for GenesisTM
Strings are made of Dynaflight '97®, the original high strength Dyneema® (100% SK75); very durable, very low creep. Center serving is Halo. Note: Dynaflight '97® is the same string material used by MatthewsTM and Brennen IndustriesTM that comes with your original bow. Halo center serving is an upgrade…tougher and slicker. Custom colors are 100% legal for all NASPTM competitions, including the National and World Championships.
Genesis bows have two separate pieces for the string set…a string and a cable. The string is the long one, usually two colors, and has the serving area where you nock your arrow. The cable is shorter, often just one color, and one end finishes in a "Y" that attaches to the top wheel. I offer them separately because sometimes you only need one or the other. Maybe one gets damaged in transport, etc.. Normally you will change both. When one starts to show noticeable wear (it gets fuzzy, a broken strand, serving starts to separate, etc.) the other usually isn't far behind. Pay special attention to the serving where you nock your arrow; the loops at the top of the "Y" on your cable; and the loops and the sharp bends at the bottom cam. These normally start showing wear or separation first. When in doubt, have your coach or instructor inspect your string. Always replace a string or cable that has a loose or separated serving or a broken strand.
